POTENSI ANTIKANKER DAN ANTITUMOR EKSTRAK DAUN KELOR (Moringa oleifera): SEBUAH STUDI LITERATUR

Kanker merupakan salah satu penyebab kematian utama di dunia meskipun telah terjadi kemajuan dalam deteksi dini dan pengobatan. Eksplorasi senyawa bioaktif alami sebagai agen antikanker menjadi salah satu fokus penelitian. Moringa oleifera (daun kelor) mengandung berbagai senyawa fitokimia, termasuk flavonoid, senyawa fenolik, isotiosianat, kuersetin, kaempferol, dan niazimisin, yang memiliki aktivitas antioksidan, antiinflamasi, antiproliferatif, dan antikanker. Studi literatur ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi, mengevaluasi, dan menyintesis bukti ilmiah terkini mengenai potensi antikanker dan antitumor Moringa oleifera. Penelusuran literatur dilakukan pada tiga basis data elektronik, yaitu ScienceDirect, Wiley, dan Garuda, menggunakan kata kunci ("Moringa oleifera" OR "Moringa leaf extract") AND (anticancer OR antitumor OR cancer OR tumor) dengan rentang publikasi Juni 2021 - Juni 2026. Artikel yang diikutsertakan merupakan penelitian asli dengan teks lengkap, berbahasa Indonesia atau Inggris, menggunakan daun Moringa oleifera sebagai intervensi utama, dilakukan pada model in vitro, in vivo, atau manusia, serta mengevaluasi aktivitas antikanker atau antitumor. Sebanyak delapan artikel memenuhi kriteria inklusi. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa Moringa oleifera mampu menghambat proliferasi sel kanker, menurunkan viabilitas sel, menginduksi apoptosis, serta memodulasi berbagai jalur molekuler yang berperan dalam perkembangan tumor. Formulasi berbasis nanoteknologi, seperti nanopartikel perak, nanopartikel magnetit, dan farmakosom, juga meningkatkan efektivitas antikanker melalui peningkatan stabilitas dan bioavailabilitas senyawa bioaktif. Dengan demikian, Moringa oleifera berpotensi dikembangkan sebagai kandidat agen antikanker berbasis bahan alam, meskipun masih diperlukan penelitian klinis untuk mengonfirmasi efektivitas dan keamanannya.
